A work in progress of Andrea Salzmann and Sebastian Meyer. The two artists from Austria combines their three-month-long
artistic work on Indonesian history in a multi-layered sound/space installation.
Sebastian Meyer’s quadraphonic sound installation uses high-speed field recordings from nature and history charged Indonesian landmarks. They are echoed with quotes from „Serat Centhini“ performed by Agnes Christina.
Andrea Salzmann transforms a timeline of Indonesian history – from the old Javanese culture till nowadays – into a moving space installation. Floating bamboo sticks are combined with material connected to a feminist way of achieving history.
